James A. Otterbeck
Under Jims' leadership, OnePoint Patient Care has expanded to eight locations, including the original hospice pharmacy he acquired in Tempe, AZ, in 2005. The company has experienced 200% growth in revenue while delivering over 20% compound annual growth of EBIDTA for 11 consecutive years and captured approximately a 10% share of the hospice specialty care pharmacy market and growing.
Jim previously worked at IBM and AT&T, and served as managing partner of Gemini Consulting’s technology practice in Europe before founding his private equity firm, The VenCom Group. During his tenure at VenCom, Jim founded nine technology companies and returned more than 300% to investors. Following the sale of its largest holding, OnePoint Communications, to Verizon, he served as senior vice president – broadband at Verizon.
Jim earned an MBA in economics and marketing from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a BBA in decision sciences from the University of Iowa.
Jeffrey S. Hohl
Chief Executive Officer
Named CEO in 2013, Jeff oversees all of the company’s sales, services and technology. He previously served as OnePoint Patient Care’s president and COO for eight years, with responsibility for market and operational expansion from a single local pharmacy dispensing location to a nationwide provider of hospice PBM and pharmacy services.
Jeff has 30 years of new business growth experience including business and new product development, operations, marketing, distribution channel management and product/technology licensing. He previously held several leadership roles at The VenCom Group and The MAC Group/Gemini technology and telecommunications practice.
He received his BS in engineering from Harvey Mudd College and a BA in management/economics from Claremont McKenna College.
President, Clinical Consulting
Gregory is responsible for clinical consulting strategic direction and daily operations, including partner and staff education, formulary design, drug utilization analysis and clinical reporting. He is also the lead author of OnePoint Patient Care’s Symptom Reference Guide.
He is an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Iowa, College of Pharmacy, and the pharmacy advisor to the NHPCO regulatory affairs and relatedness committees, as well as a member of numerous formulary, pharmacy and therapeutic committees for client hospices.
Gregory has 30 years of hospice pharmacy experience, including serving as vice president of pharmacy and new business development for Rainbow Hospice, starting and managing a regional hospice pharmacy and local home infusion pharmacy, and practicing as a long-term care pharmacist in the Chicago area.
He received a BS in pharmacy from the University of Illinois, College of Pharmacy, and is a registered pharmacist.
National Recruiting Director
Amy is responsible for identifying and sourcing pharmacy team members for OnePoint Patient Care. She has more than 25 years of successful sales and recruiting experience.
She began her career with Cabletron Systems and also worked with Nextel, Level3 and Verizon. In 1995, she moved from sales to recruiting for Career Connections, a boutique recruiting firm headquartered in Schaumburg, IL.
President, Eastern Division
Kevin is responsible for operational management, business development and customer satisfaction for the Eastern Division. He has more than 20 years of international sales and marketing experience, including serving in leadership roles for Foxcom, a global manufacturer and distributor of satellite transmission equipment; Verizon Avenue, a division of Verizon Communications; and other telecommunications firms.
He earned a BA in communications from Elon University.
Business Development Director, Western Division
Wayne is responsible for the Western Division’s business development. In this role he establishes new hospice partnerships as well as represents OnePoint Patient Care at various state and national conferences. He has been with the company for more than 10 years.
A nationally certified pharmacy technician, Wayne has more than 15 years of experience in the pharmacy industry. He has held a wide array of positions relating to running and maintaining a pharmacy, having worked in various settings ranging from independent retail to hospital.
Wayne earned his BS in marketing from Arizona State University.
Charlie’s responsibilities include safeguarding and promoting the OnePoint Patient Care brand throughout all media channels, representing OnePoint at national and state conferences, coordinating articles and press releases, and devising and executing marketing strategies. He has numerous years of experience in digital media and marketing, including with the Chicago Bulls, Miami Heat and National Basketball Association.
Charlie began his career in the health care industry as a OnePoint Customer Care Specialist, which gave him the opportunity to witness firsthand the comfort hospice provides so many individuals and families.
Charlie earned a BA in anthropology from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Science in Communication degree from Northwestern University.
National Recruiting Director
Gabriella is responsible for employee engagement efforts, developing and implementing human resources policies and procedures, and performance management. She also leads OnePoint’s commitment to recruit, retain, and develop talented employees.
Gabriella joined OnePoint Patient Care in 2015 as a part-time Delivery Team Member when she was a full-time student at Arizona State University. Shortly after she graduated in 2016 with a BA in Communication, she took on a full time role as OnePoint’s National Recruiting Director.
Vice President of Information Technology
Jason Polonus is responsible for all OPPC technology services including infrastructure, application development, integration services and platforms used internally as well as by customers and care providers. Jason previously served as OnePoint Patient Care’s Vice President of Application Services. During that time, he oversaw all application development (mobile and web), database development, integration services and support of internal/external applications.
Jason began his information technology career in 2000 and has spent more than half of it focused on the healthcare industry. His varied roles have included software development, business intelligence, data warehousing, mobile development and project management.
He received his Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in information technology from DeVry University in Arizona.
President, Western Division
Michael is responsible for the Western Division’s operational management, business development and customer satisfaction. He previously served as the company’s senior vice president of the Midwest region. In that role, he oversaw the region’s pharmacy and logistics operations as well as business development. Prior to that, he was president of OnePoint Patient Care’s Nevada market.
He is a member of the Arizona Hospice and Palliative Care Organization regulatory committee and the advisory board for the East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) Pharmacy Technician program. Michael earned his BA in management and finance from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Business Development Manager, Eastern Division
Joanne is responsible for identifying and creating new hospice partnerships in the Eastern Division. She has more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience in healthcare and information technology, including working for Optum Palliative and Hospice Care and Heartland Hospice, leading a software technology organization and serving as a leader for a non-profit cancer support community.
She earned a BA in business administration from Illinois State University and is pursuing her MBA at the University of Arkansas.
Chief Financial Officer
Derek’s responsibilities include financial reporting, investor relations, mergers and acquisitions and human resources. He has 13 years of banking and management consulting experience. Prior to joining OnePoint Patient Care, he was involved in numerous public and private financings as a vice president in the corporate investment banking division of BNP Paribas, and as an investment banking associate at TD Securities USA. Derek also worked at US Bancorp and Gemini Consulting.
He earned an MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and a BBA from the University of Notre Dame.
Vice President and General Counsel
Pete is responsible for entity compliance and maintenance, document preparation and contracts, mergers and acquisitions. He also has responsibility for regulatory compliance for pharmacy dispensing and operations, as well as licensing.
He previously served as general counsel at The VenCom Group and was a partner in the law firm of Speranza & Bates in Lake Forest, IL, where his practice focused on small and mid-sized businesses. Before entering private practice, Pete was an assistant state’s attorney in Lake County, IL.
He earned his JD from DePaul University School of Law and a BA from St. John’s University in Minnesota.
